Essence of a Lady Tiger’s (EOLT) vision is to build strong women who will exude class, poise, strength, and wisdom as they empower young ladies on campus and within the community. These women will lead by example by excelling in the classroom, focusing on campus involvement, and community engagement.
EOLT will fulfill the vision of its successors by becoming an organization and creating a lasting impact at Jackson State University. EOLT will gain support from graduate students, alumni, faculty and staff and most importantly the Student Government Association. Activities may include but not be limited to an inaugural women’s empowerment picnic, beauty seminars, talent showcases, and First Mondays. EOLT will focus on networking opportunities, community engagement, and mentoring for the current school year. EOLT’s vision is to invest in speakers to provide encouraging seminars for young women of color to teach young women the exploration of self, friendship, professionalism, relationships and ultimately greater success.
